FRANKIE | Leather handbag

The “Blur The Lines” collection blurs the lines between art and craft, between leather goods and objects of contemplation. Inspired by architecture, it explores textures and creative processes. It questions our relationship to time, consumption, and our everyday objects. With “Blur The Lines,” a bag becomes a work of art, a work of art becomes an everyday companion, a souvenir of adventure—like a photo album.

Brand’s new icon, Frankie, is a leather handbag with a timeless and bold design! Comfortable and handmade in Belgium.

Frankie is Frank ‘s little brother, a smaller size than its predecessor but still practical and comfortable for everyday use. Both are named after Frank Gehry, world-renowned for his bold, deconstructive style, which profoundly influenced contemporary architecture through the use of sculptural forms and great formal freedom.

Frankie is also inspired by Brutalism, characterized by massive shapes, raw materials, and a functional approach. This architectural movement sought to address the social needs of the post-war period with accessible, sustainable, and functional housing. Criticized in the past for its coldness, it is now being rediscovered and appreciated for its powerful, radical, and sculptural character.

Frankie is a handbag to be worn on the shoulder, arm, or by hand. Its shape is raw and massive yet elegant. The blend of two leathers, inspired by Frank Gehry’s approach to the steel and titanium panels of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, results in a supple yet structured bag. Lightweight, thanks to the soft leather, yet architecturally designed to stand upright, thanks to the rigid leather, which also serves as a pocket for organizing the bag.

Gàidheal pieces are entirely handmade with love, respecting traditional craftsmanship with a modern touch.
